Motherly Embrace
As long as I can remember I have been captivated by birth. Growing up in a large family of mostly of women, supporting my aunts and cousins as they embarked on one of life’s most beautiful journeys! I acted as a doula before I ever knew what a doula was! It wasn’t until my older sister's pregnancy that I truly realized the importance of a doula. Witnessing firsthand how impactful the birth experience is on the mother’s life and how much of an influence the caretakers have in a birth experience, truly spoke to me.
After promising my sister that I would support any way possible, I became her Doula and will never have a more proud moment than supporting the home birth of my oldest nephew in 2013 and his younger brother in 2015, which led to finally becoming a certifying Doula in 2019. I happily dedicate myself to supporting and educating mothers and mothers to be through A Motherly Embrace Doula Services as a Birth doula. My mission is to provide women with guidance support and empowerment.

Sky Angel Doula
Hi there! I am a DONA trained Birth Doula with a passion and dedication to educating and empowering laboring women and their families. In addition to supporting the pregnancy and laboring process, I’ve worked in the aviation industry as a Flight Attendant for 14 years. I am a wife and a mother of four beautiful children from 21 to 5 years old; 2 girls and 2 boys. Becoming a DONA trained Doula has been an exciting journey for me as I’ve been drawn to catering to mommies and babies for as long as I can remember. I look forward to serving you during your most vulnerable moments and reminding you of your strength along the way.

Despite having only worked in the childbirth field for the past two years, I know without a doubt that BIRTH MATTERS. How a woman feels about her pregnancy, motherhood and birth all matter! Ask any mother about the day her child was born and she will tell you the story; who was there, where it happened, what she experienced and HOW SHE FELT. It is this realization that fuels my passion as a Childbirth educator. I’ve had two amazing birth experiences and I owe them to having been educated and informed, as well as having amazing support from my husband and birth teams. Birth is a rite of passage into motherhood. My hope is to give women (and dads too) the tools needed to prepare for birth with confidence and joy.

Perfect Timing Doula
Hi! I am Letitia but known as “MsTish”. I am very passionate about helping and supporting my community here in Houston and back home in Chicago. I am excited to connect with other amazing birth workers and educators while being able to use my own knowledge and skills to grow together. After having three births with three totally different experiences: from having a jaundiced baby, the umbilical cord being wrapped around one of my babies to a “very” unplan natural birth.
I knew it was “Perfect Timing” to be there for others so families can make confident decisions that would impact their lives. I am a certified “Best” birth and postpartum doula, hold a Bachelor in Family and Consumer Science emphasis on “Early Childhood” from Texas Southern University, along with a list of certifications from Reiki to Herbal Healing. Yes, I enjoy learning and currently working on my PAIL/Bereavement certification. So, it’s that simple - I just want families to feel cared for and make their birthing journey to recovery easier.

Hueláh Orah
Peace, Peace! My name is Jessica Keaton. Before becoming a wife and mother of 2, I supported my mother during her postpartum periods and took care of my siblings, and enjoyed it. I didn’t know what a “doula” was until I met my doula and friend during my first pregnancy. It was then I realized this was a calling! I knew then I wanted to provide that service to women in my community.

Imprint of Love
As a DONA and Harmonious Birthing trained birth doula, I offer holistic doula support & childbirth services. I’m here to educate, advocate, support & empower you throughout your pregnancy and birth journey. I'm a Lamaze-trained Childbirth Educator and I'm also a placenta encapsulation specialist.
My path to birth work started at a very early age, simply with my innate desire to support people, my love for babies & my amazement at what a birthing person’s body is capable of. I supported my first birth at age 17, long before I even knew what a "doula" was. Being a neonatal nurse was my dream job growing up, but life happened, and it led me down a different path. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston-Downtown and a master's degree in Social Work from U of H- Main. So, in addition to being a birth doula, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. There is such an overlap between social work and birth work- and in my experience, birth work is social work. In our society, a natural process that bodies were divinely designed to do, has become so
medicalized, detached & downright frightening at times.
While I love supporting all expectant
families, I am passionate about working with teens/young adults and Black and Brown families. The health disparities in this country are at crisis levels, so educating and supporting Black and Brown families through pregnancy and birth is of utmost importance to me- regardless of socioeconomic status. The" fourth trimester" through baby's 1st birthday are also extremely important timeframes that are deeply explored while working with expectant families. Whether your birth will be vaginal or cesarean, medicated or unmedicated, induced or spontaneous, at home or in a hospital, you deserve to have the education and preparation so you can make
informed decisions as you plan for the birth experience of your choice.
A few fun facts about me: I enjoy exploring the planet (aka traveling), spending time with my family, taking naps, reading, bike riding, learning new things and of course, all things pregnancy, birth&breastfeeding related. I have also recently taken up an interest in herbs and gardening.
It’s with sincere gratitude that I thank you for taking the time to learn a little about my passions, and for considering me to journey with you through your pregnancy, birth experience & beyond! I look forward to connecting with you!
Peace and blessings

I see every pregnancy and birth as a miracle that has always been surrounded with support! I consider myself, a woman who serves & supports! So to serve as a doula has absolutely been a purpose I've pursued with passion! Through understanding the current narrative within my community, I have found that support and education are the most important aspects that heavily influence birth & postpartum experiences! So I have been driven to provide the support and resources that women deserve to help improve the narrative within my community!
I believe every woman deserves support that will guide and assist her in making conscious decisions about her body & baby throughout Maternity. I believe she should have beautiful reminders to trust the strength of her being throughout every milestone in her Journey! I believe every woman deserves a safe space & support person to experience it all with! As a collective we have a mission to offer that support through birth and beyond to help shape lives and improve narratives in our community one journey at a time!
